Siren Song of the Soul

Wow, this year has been a time of course correction, letting go, new choices, and being present. Not only do I see it with so many others, but in my own life I experience these changes.

We are in a wonderful window of opportunity to have deeper conversations with our Soul. The clearing away that we have been doing on so many levels has created a more open pathway to receive our Soul's input about our walk on earth. And that whisper you are hearing, that calling in your heart is the Siren Song of your Soul.

When we are in alignment with our Soul, we are so happy and at peace....our Soul has certain preferences, and we have made certain agreements to explore and experience and express our Soul's preferences here. If we are our of alignment with those preferences and agreements, then we feel miserable. We can also change our agreements since we are respected totally for our free will.

But it is good to get right with our Soul. Life just feels really good when we do.

As a result of my decision to take time off in June and to cooperate with my expansion, I have had the opportunity to get clear on some things. I highly recommend a sabbatical or vision quest (I talk about this in my book, Love Letter), even if it is a few days....it can bring about a great shift in perspective!

One of the things I was given the opportunity to get clear about is my Soul's input and what I want to do in this changing world. This led me to the questions of what my purpose is, why I came here, and what I choose to do with the time I have left in this life.

I was given some processes this summer as I was looking deeply into myself. These processes will be included in my new book, Siren Song of the Soul, but I don't want to wait to share them....the world will benefit so much from our waking up to our Souls!

Here are some truths about our innate talents, passions and our Soul (as I know them):

We all come from Prime Source/God/the Creator/Great Spirit/The All That Is and are aspects of the Whole. We are not separate from All of Creation, even if we believe we are.
We ALL have innate talents that are unique combinations of our interests, our passions, our soul preferences, and the way we choose to express them.
All of our innate talents are unique expressions of Prime Source and come from Prime Source because we are all from Prime Source.
No innate talent is "better" or "of more value" than any other. Each aspect of Prime Source represents a vital component of the diversity of All of Creation and is therefore necessary to the expression of Prime Source.
Passion is experienced when we are in alignment with and expressing our Soul. Our passions are natural expressions of our innate talents. Our passion is what makes our heart SING. If you look at what you are passionate about, that will lead you to identify your innate talents and will give you a window into the nature of your Soul.

Some of us have innate talents in creating beautiful music, some in creating amazing visual art, some in making delicious food, some in being very caring and nurturing. Some have innate skills and talents in healing, teaching, business, observation, speaking, stewardship, earth care.....the list is endless. There are as many expressions of our innate skills and talents as there are people on this planet. Frequently our innate skills and talents are a mystery to us because they are right under our nose! But they are there.

If I had to pick one thing that human beings torture themselves about with the most consistency, it is the "What is my purpose?" question. Sometimes the anxiety people feel about being "off purpose" is warranted; anxiety is a way we can interpret a signal from our Soul that we are a bit off track. But other times, the anxiety we feel is a way of distracting ourselves from what we already know our purpose is. This is where the Nike moniker of JUST DO IT comes in handy!

I am going to lead you through the Passion Process that I created and led myself through (with the help of my angel buddies). By sharing my own process, I hope that you are able to utilize it and benefit.

One of the things I have have gotten clear about this summer are my innate talents, and the way I got clear about them was to ask myself,

"What are my passions?"

I discovered that I have passion for personal freedom, choice and free will (I guess that's why I react so strongly to being judged by another, why it angers me when someone thinks they have the corner on reality, and why I carry a copy of the U.S. Constitution in my purse!) I have a passion for honoring the inherent intelligence and respecting the existence of all aspects of creation, and being in conscious partnership with them. I have passion for clarity and self love and expansion. I have a passion for sharing what I learn and know and love. And I have a deep and abiding passion for the Divine Feminine, and was told that I am a devotee of The Great Mother energy. I know these are passions for me because they all excite me. They make me feel like my heart is singing! They make me ME. They make life worth living.

My passions are natural expressions of my innate talents.....therefore:

I see my passions for personal freedom, choice and free will express through my respect for the decisions of others, and my fierce independence and determination to trust myself. I have always been stubborn about blindly trusting others or giving my power away. It is a delicate dance to learn to trust oneself, but also know when it would be of benefit to ask for assistance from another. In my work with clients and in my channeling, the words that come through me are framed by awareness of and respect for the free will of others. I have NEVER heard anything come through me during my work or channeling that was fearful, demanding, or a "you should" statement (thank goodness for that, because I would rebel instantly!)
My passion for sharing what I know is expressed through my innate talents of empathy, and communicating in a way that builds bridges. My empathy enables me to be an effective teacher and facilitator, meeting people where they are and leading them to a new awareness. When I am communicating with others, I can find ways to connect with them regardless of their belief system. I love to share food, so am a great cook and like to entertain. I love to share music, and so play DJ at parties and for company. I love to share good resources, and so am a great networker and have no hesitation telling others about some great resource that I have found. I love to share!
I have a passion for honoring the inherent intelligence and respecting the existence of all aspects of creation, and being in conscious partnership with them. I really GET IT that there is a reason for ALL things to exist as they are, and I honor all creatures, belief systems, cultures, races, sexual identities, opinions, etc. I don't need to agree with all of them, or make choices that don't feel right to me, but I do feel the importance of acknowledging that they have a right to their unique viewpoint and place in Creation. This includes all humans, creatures, plants, rocks, air, water, bacteria, microbes, cells, atoms, dark matter, Angels, devas, EVERYTHING. I am an advocate for diversity, and affirm the unique orientation that each aspect of Creation represents. I see this passion expressing through my innate talent of communication with the subtle realms of energy. Because of my commitment to include all aspects of Creation, when I ask that something be done, it is done.
I have passion for clarity and self love and expansion. I see this express through my drive to know myself, to be truthful with myself, and to heal or expand when I am facing an opportunity for a new choice. I do not believe that there is anything wrong with me (or anyone else, for that matter).....I just love to expand, and so that means that I will constantly be changing and making new choices. It's fun! My passion for self love causes me to be an advocate for others to love themselves, too. My passion for self love expresses through my innate talent of being able to hold a high vibration of unconditional love.
deep and abiding passion for the Divine Feminine, and was told that I am a devotee of The Great Mother energy. Hee heee....this is a relatively new awareness for me, and is such a comfort to know...all my life I have felt there was another way to do, know, believe, behave than what the vast majority of the world teaches. Do you know that we are moving out of the grip of patriarchy now? It took YEARS for me to find other WiseWomen who would reflect to me that trusting myself above all others, that moving to my own rhythm and respecting my inner cycles, that listening to my body and honoring my feelings, that being inclusive instead of exclusive... were a Feminine way of doing things. It is such a great relief that it makes me cry....all of my life I have wondered if I was crazy because THIS IS THE WAY I AM, but I couldn't find much in the world to reflect back to me that this was okay! NOW I KNOW. I am of the Great Mother, and I am here in representation of that energy. WAHOO!!! My innate talents as a devoted and striving-to-be-conscious mother to my children, and a natural mothering energy that seems to be recognized by others since I was very small are an expression of this passion.

OKAY, so I have shared with you something that I have learned (one of my passions)....and hopefully I have shared it with you in a way that you can follow (one of my innate talents), leaving a trail of bread crumbs for you that will lead you to a new place of awareness. Ladies and Gentlemen, I am off sabbatical!

I have come through a major growth cycle, have learned some invaluable skills and arrived at a new place within myself. I feel so good and free now, and ready to offer what I can. I have re-written my WiseWoman page to reflect the clarification of services that I offer. Be sure to check it out....there is powerful stuff afoot!

That would mean that our physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects have no creative power and just sit there while we create solely with our thoughts.

Have you ever tried to brush your teeth with just your thoughts? Have you ever loved someone with all your heart just using your thoughts? Have you ever known and experienced yourself as Source Energy just through utilizing your thoughts?

Do you create with your body? Do you create with your emotions? Do you create with your Infinite Spirit? YES. Believing that we create only with our thoughts is a continuation of the worship of the mind that has overtaken our culture. But we are much more than our minds. We are vast, energetic beings with all the resources of the universe available to us. We are not separate from All of Creation.

It is important to get right with ALL the ways we create if we want to live the magical lives we have been promised.

We are part of an infinite field; you can think of All of Creation as a giant fabric. You are a thread in that fabric that makes up all of Creation; you make up that Oneness. Where we get into trouble is that we forget that we are part of All That Is, and try to live our lives separately from all of Creation. Living a magical life is dependent on our willingness to work cooperatively with all the aspects of Creation and to allow that fabric of Creation to support us.

Dear Blessed Reader,

I write to you today after much thought and sitting in silence in the great company of my angelic friends, the Archangels, Great Mother and Great Father, and Prime Source. In infinite patience, they have gently been guiding me to come to this specific place where I have arrived. It is with a combination of feelings of sadness, anxiety, relief and excitement that I am announcing that I am taking a leave of absence from providing individual sessions for clients and updates for my website; I will also be taking a leave of absence from the WAHOOnews. I will be utilizing my sabbatical from outer life to write and to tend to my self and my family.

The reason for this time of quiet for me is that I am being reformed. As you know, the earth has been undergoing massive change in this last several months, and while we thought 2007 was a year of Big Letting Go, the first half of 2008 has been even more so. It feels as though the vice has gotten tighter in some respects; some have stubbornly clung to those things we have created in our lives that no longer serve us even though it is costing us much energetically to do this.

This is the time of no more illusions….this is the time of letting go of all that isn’t truly us. It is the time of dropping the pretenses and maybes and settling for less than what we really want in our deepest heart of hearts. Do you remember all of those messages from the angels that said to get super-clear about what we wanted? That’s because it is time to move into being guided by our Soul. Our Soul knows what we want to the core of our Being; our Soul informs us constantly about whether we are living what is true for each of us.

My life is undergoing its own transformation. My family has felt the stirrings of our Souls, and we are responding. We are moving to the Texas coast, where we will live during the school year, and summer up in lovely Colorado, where I hope to provide retreats for women. So we have a physical shift happening. But even more magical and exciting to me is that I am undergoing deep personal transformation, as well. I feel myself letting go of old forms, old identities, old beliefs….all of which supported me very well up until now, so no regrets! But now I feel it so acutely that it is time to move on and become someone new.

I feel myself being the caterpillar, having woven itself into the cocoon in which it will give up its old life in order to morph into a moth or butterfly. But in between old form and new form, there is the formless stage. Literally, once the caterpillar is safely ensconced in the cocoon, the process begins and the body of the caterpillar becomes a green goo with the consistency of a milkshake…….nothing exists of the old form except the essence…..and seemingly magically, but with the excellent expertise and guidance of the innate wisdom of the cells and the energy that has agreed to be in this particular situation, the goo becomes a new form and emerges, strikingly different and breathtakingly beautiful.

I am in the formless stage……the essence of me is the same. But the things I do in the world, the roles in which I indentify myself, the outward manifestations are changing a bit. I will still write, speak and teach, but it may look different in some ways. While these things are in process, it is best for me to honor the formless time in the womb and to keep to the basics of my family and taking care of myself. The expert guidance that is leading me with its light is my own sweet Soul.

When I feel into my Soul, it is so much like running into the arms of someone I love and trust completely. Not quite like a parent, but almost. Not quite like sister or brother, but almost. More like a friend that knows my heart so well and has always held the highest vision of me. A friend that has never gone away despite that I have sometimes chosen not to listen to it.

I understand from the Archangel Raphael that the Soul is the bridge between Prime Source (from whence it came) and our human existence. It is a carrier of the divine love and higher perspective and guidance. It infuses us all the way to a cellular level (it is not floating up on high somewhere…it is here with us and part of us and guiding us at all times, if we will but listen). The Soul has preferences and makes choices. The Soul can be trusted to make supportive decisions. It is infinite. Being in alignment with our Soul causes us to feel happy, satisfied, and complete, not like we are missing something. All of those people who are desperately seeking their purpose are prime candidates for stopping and listening to their Soul’s guidance. And the ideal time to be consciously coming into partnership with our Soul is now upon us.

I imagine that many of you are feeling the stirrings of your Soul right now……it is that quiet voice that is so familiar we scarcely know it is there…and yet, we can confuse the guidance of our mind or ego with that beautiful guidance and create things in our lives that are not truly a fit to who we really are. But if you choose it, you can come into alignment with your Soul very quickly, and you may be very surprised to know its plans for you!

This is the time to be letting go of those creations that no longer serve. We are being gently but firmly urged at this great opportunity to choose to be in alignment with our Souls and actively partner with it, allowing it to guide us. Our happiness lies in wait.
