What’s Soul Collage?
Soul Collage is a
process of discovering and putting into visual form your inner
personality aspects, your inspiring spirits, muses, teachers, nature.
The Soul Collage process is a journey of self discovery through your
psychological, communal, energetic and archetypal dimensions.
It’s a creative journey of self discovery that is life-affirming,
supportive, soul nourishing, and SO MUCH FUN! No art experience
is needed.
What
will we DO?
We will create a
card (or cards) that are a mirror of self and soul by collecting and
arranging images on mat board. The cards can be used as personal
inspiration, self appreciation and even as therapeutic tools.
Cards can be used in a
similar fashion as Tarot cards, for guidance and support in our inner
process.
There are wonderful
applications for education, therapy and social services models. If the
playshop participants elect, we will do an example of facilitation using
the cards we create.
What
to Bring:
Bring magazines,
catalogs, photos or other wonderful cut-out images that really speak to
you. You can photocopy old photographs and bring those to include in
your cards. If you have a favorite pair of scissors, bring those (I
will provide some scissors, glue and backing material for the cards as
well as have lots of images from magazines available). If you are the
type that likes to spread out on the floor, you might bring a Floor
Pillow.
Also, if you feel
moved to bring a snack, sweet or drink, I am certain it will be
appreciated and voraciously consumed!
