Intro to Dowsing Playshop: Accurate Dowsing with a Pendulum

What’s Dowsing?

It is the ancient art of seeking information through the use of non-ordinary perception. 

In practice it is a process of obtaining yes/no answers (or numerical answers) to properly 

worded questions with the use of a dowsing instrument and the proper frame of mind. 

Sometimes called divination, perhaps because the source of the answers seems to be 

from higher consciousness or universal mind.

Types of dowsing tools: The primary tool is the mind of the dowser.  Instruments and tools 

merely act like the needle on a gauge, showing in a kinesthetic way the answer to the 

questioner. Common dowsing tools include the famed forked stick, as well as L-rods, 

pendulums, bobbers and others. There is no particular significance in a tool, but some 

are more convenient for particular tasks than others. Each dowser will have a favorite, 

whatever they are most comfortable with.   We will work with a pendulum in this Playshop.

What will be covered in this Playshop:

• What is happening at a physics/energetic level when dowsing
• how to accurately test,
• why the testing works sometimes and why it doesn't other times,
• how to deal with those times when our egos are influencing the dowsing,
• what kinds of applications to use the pendulum for

The applications for using a pendulum to dowse are endless, from testing which vitamins are the right ones for you, to what color you would benefit from wearing that day, to what vacation destination to go to, to what important decision in a moment of choice serves your highest good...ranging from large to small decisions.  It’s most refined use is to confirm our intuitive knowing.

What to Bring:

If you already have a pendulum you like working with, bring that!  A wooden acorn pendulum is included in the cost of the playshop; gemstone pendulums are available for an additional $15.
